Abstract (2020-2024)

This abstract portfolio draws from the hidden geometry found in natural forms. Rooted in the golden ratio and quasi-symmetric patterns reminiscent of Penrose tilings, the works move between watercolor, oil, and other media while balancing deliberate structure with fluid, gestural marking. The resulting compositions create illusions of depth and relief, inviting viewers to question conventional perspective and discover shifting layers of perception. Several pieces are made with monotypes, then modified after digital sketches.

Explore a diverse portfolio of work that moves between abstraction and observation. Each series examines layering, transparency, and the interplay of control and chance — qualities inherent to watercolor and multiple exposure photography alike.

From the monumental accumulations in Removal (2019) to the recent poem-guided abstract watercolors, the pieces reflect an ongoing investigation into presence, memory, and the unpredictable nature of materials.
