Cambridge exhibition: Proof of Concept

Hello! A small video about this week’s opening of « Proof of concept », an exhibition curated by Liz Shepherd showing bold and experimental words in printmaking and beyond.

The exhibition is visible at canal Street Gallery, 650 E Kendall street, Cambridge MA. From cyanotypes to videos and sculpture, print is reimagined and experimented!

I had the pleasure to meet other fellow artists, Nancy Crasco, Adrianna Prat and Susan Murie for instance and was silly enough not to take pictures. Sorry!

I had the honor that my piece « Nothibg happened » was selected, a handwoven and embroidered work. It is a meditation about what Camus called « the sweet indifference of the world », adorned by thistles and glass pearls, soy milk paint and handspun milkweed. The piece is a journal of beauty and pain, and forgiveness and grace, that followed me while I was traveling and unable to make watercolors.

Explore a diverse portfolio of work that moves between abstraction and observation. Each series examines layering, transparency, and the interplay of control and chance — qualities inherent to watercolor and multiple exposure photography alike.

From the monumental accumulations in Removal (2019) to the recent poem-guided abstract watercolors, the pieces reflect an ongoing investigation into presence, memory, and the unpredictable nature of materials.
