What's going on here? Framing.
I am preparing my new show and framing my watercolors. Here is a list of supplies I frequently use, available on Amazon and explanations on the process. It took me years (true!!) to perfect this process, and I am happy to share it.
You have three choices when it comes to framing your art:
Ask a professional framer. It is costly but if you are only framing one specific piece, it is better to support your local artisan. He will help you choose the colors, depending on your walls and decor. You will also be able to see the glass and thier quality.
Make it yourself, either with a reclaimed frame or with a new one. Being able to buy mats online will allow you to adapt. You'll need to take measurements with care, because it's easy to get it wrong:

When I actually reuse a reclaimed frame, I use a professional Point driver and framers points, to set the artwork behinf the glass. I reuse my professional frames this way, removing the old points and inserting new ones as shown in the video.
If not, I often order with arttoframe.com, who happen to sell on Amazon their most common sizes. In this case there is no need for framers points and driver, everything are provided.
You will see that the best options are anti UV and anti glare glasse, which are costly, but give a better look to artworks and pictures! Here are some supplies: frames, points with the point driver, frames.
Enjoy the day!
